JCo between R/3 and EP - Adaptive RFC

Hi all,

we have Test Enterprise portal in Germany and Test R/3 server in Czech republic. We have problems with registration of R/3 system on portal SLD (because of routering through two routers, it is solved by OSS/SAP). We are developping WebDYNPRO application with Adaptive RFC model for retreaving data from R/3 system and on development system it runs correctly.

Administrator of portal asked me these qustions:

Is it realy necessary to use SLD on portal (Germany) or is it possible to use your own SLD in your network (in Czech, I have no idea, if R/3 system have SLD???)?

And second question:

For running your application, is it necessary to have a constant connection between your system and my SLD, or is this connection only required during configuration?

I think it is possible to use SLD on R/3 system (I don't know how to admintrate it) and it is necessary to have a constant connection between both systems.

Am I right???

Hi

1.Any SLD can be configured for the JCO connection.

2.It is necessary to have a constant connection.
