Sapinst: password

I have a server running EP 6.0 portal.

I'm logging in as user called tp2adm. This is a SAP System Administrator. The problem is that when I'm starting sapinst to install Adobe Document Service, the password field only takes 8 characters. But my tp2adm user has a password with 9 characters (I also log in to windows with the same user and password).

I wonder if the solution is to change my password to eight characters, or is it too risky to do so?

Best regards

    Hi Øyvind,

I can't see any problems in changing the adm password for one with 8 caracters. By the way, have you tried using the first 8 caracters of the password you currently have in TP2ADM?
