Use InfoSet as a DataSource

Greetings,

We want to use our InfoSet as a datasource to load other objects. Is this possible?

We cannot find an option for "Generate DataSource" when looking at InfoSets in RSA1.

You cant for a infoset in BW as it doesnt have data..

You can create a datasource based on an infoset in R/3 thru RSO2 transaction code..is that what you are looking for?

Thanks for your replies! I understand that an InfoSet does not have data, but there is 2004s documentation that seems to indicate an InfoSet can load an InfoCube. Since my question is kind of long, I've posted another

message separately. Please see my post entitled "I need to load an InfoCube from an InfoSet - Is this possible in 2004s?" from 10/16/06. My question is explained more thoroughly in there. Thanks again for the quick replies!

I am not sure you can use InfoSet to create generate datasource..!! remember this infoset is a join of ODS and InfoObject and it does not contain the data physically.
