Setting General Option Paths

Hello

I have several configurations for PowerDesigner users I want to be able to have automatically configured via User Profiles, such as "UserModelTemplates" and "ConvTablePath". On a user's system these paths are under their Windows profile area;

"C:\Users\<userid>\PowerDesigner\Shared\<repoid>\".

I cannot figure out how to automatically generate the path to set these values within a User Profile. I am open to consider other means, preferably within the PowerDesigner Framework, but I want to be able to do this without each user having to individually setup the relevant paths on their systems, nor require a Windows Administrator, since we may want to add or change some.

Thank you!

Anything you put in a Named Path is treated as a string. I think what you need is a script that sets registry key, replacing the appropriate enviroment variable (is it %USERPATH%?) with the actual value. I've never considered doing this myself, so I don't know what limitations Windowes imposes on you, and editing the registry is a risky business.

Hi George. Thank you for the response. Yes. I found where in the Registry they are stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, and appears to be, %USERPROFILE%. I was hoping to use something native to PowerDesigner, but if it isn't there we can do a batch file or PowerShell script if it comes to that. Still hopeful, though...
