I ave just installed a new application server for our test system. I was asked to size the system to a max of 4GB. There are multiple SAP systems on this linux machine, tehrefore we have to make sure there is enough space for all.I havent sized a system before so I want to know which parameters I have to maintain in this case to make sure that it dosnt go past 4GB.
Also, generally speaking, does system sizing in this case mean, the total memory R/3 can take(physical memory or physical and swap?).
In case of a CI+DB on same host, will this sizing mean total memory that both can take?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Cyrus
Hi,
We are not doing anything according to SAP recomendations. There are multiple SAP systems on the same host here. so, i m not sure the tool will work.
Also, I want to know the technical concepts behind sizing and dont want to use the tool which might give me the numbers but not tell me why it chose them.
Thanks
Cyrus
