SRM IDES -Help To Start

Hello SRM Gurus ,

I am new to SAP SRM .I have IDES for SRM and Having SAP GUI . Can any one help

1.How to start the SRM Configuration and work on the masters and transaction .

2.I just need help in how to start to work on the application step by step .Do any one has documentation which will help me to start from organization planning

3.My User Id is created in the IDES system and need help to start from there

Also,soem of the other settings whcih you will require are :

-->Vendors you can import with trans BBPGETVD from backend

-->Users you can first create in SRM SU01 (or distribute from CUA) then assign with trx USERS_GEN

to yr SRM org structure (after this only they can log in SRM)

-->Pur grp again you should mention the R/3 nos in the function tab and assign the org

unit at 'responcibility'tab in org structure.

-->Matl grp- this is downloading (trx R3AS) of customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 after you have done

all integration settings, SMOEAC sites and middleware setting as per note 720819

-->Roles you can find in the resp config guide

-->it's downloading of matl& services in SAP terminology if you are importing R/3 matls

in SRM , uploading is reverse, trx R3AS after customizing objects have been downloaded.

-->in addition to all the above,you need to activate all the ITS services if you are using the INTERNAL ITS and to log on to the WEB SCREEN.

Thanks Disha .As I am using stanalone system with IDES , I think Vendors and Masters data are already avaialable in the system .As I am new to SAP SRM Configuration How should I startoff with the IDES.Should I start with Administration .I am really looking on how to start from Step 1 , 2.. etc .Can You Please help .

Hi,

I suggest please go through the help site once.It will give you a clear idea what are the scenarios.

In the config guides,the genral settings are also given at the start.

Which is the IDES version you are using?
