Setting up US company code for EU transactions

We have a need to setup a company code with US country to perform intra-company transfers between plants located in FR and IT.

Per OSS note:1929128, we cannot use Plant abroad functionality when tax jurisdiction code is active for US company code.

Please help if anyone has solved this issue
