Hi All,
Does anybody know the design principles that need to be followed while developing BSP(Business server pages) applications so that it can support mobile applications in future. I mean can the current BSP development be made available for mobile devices (PDA, tablet PC etc.) in future.
Thanks,
Shiraz
Hi Shiraz,
you can use BSP for mobile Online Development. But be carefull with the extensions. If you have a Tablet PC with a full WIN32 you will not get a problem. But if you have a PDA based for example on Windows Mobile 2003 or 2005 the BSP-Extensions like htmlb, xhtmlb, phtmlb etc will not work on this device! To run BSP on this devices you have to use only plain html in the BSP-Layout.
I don't think SAP will make BSP generally available for mobile devices in the future. For that there will be Mobile WebDynpro. At the moment the ABAP WebDynpro is not running on mobile devices(only WD-Java). Hope SAP will change it in the future.
Regards
Frank
