Auto create of purchase requisition related to reservation

Dear,

my client has the following question.

Whenever there is no sufficient stock to fulfill the demand (reservation) a purchase requisition to the supplier has to be created. The PR has to be for this reservation only. Next to this PR a new PR has to be created to replenish the warehouse stock up until the re order point.

Apart of it being a usefull question, I would very much like to know if this is possible.

reorder points can be changed with MM02 and MM17, no extra custom programming needed.

If you have less stock in the warehouse than you need for the reservation and the stock is still above the reorder points then it certainly needs an adjustment.

To mitigate the problem you may switch to Reorder point planning with external requirements.

What is special with your reservation that this PR that it has to go directly to vendor and cannot be fulfilled from the warehouse stock?

Hi Juergen,

nothing in particular. I wanted to advise the client to adjust the re order point or something like that. But I was just curious if this is possible in SAP without any custom programming.
