host cannot be reached - SAP HANA Cloud Connector Access settings

Hi,

I have gone through many documents and finally my cloud connector is able to connect. But when I'm adding a on-premise system mapping in Access Control and trying to check getting error as "Host cannot be reached". Have checked the correct details of internal host and internal port but still the issue persists.

please assist what check I can do and if anything specific I'm missing?

If you are using HTTP protocol, the problem may be the port that by default is 8000. ( ping the server to see if it is reachable )

If the scenario is about connect a premise abap system maybe RFC is the best option, if this is the case you need the host ( ip of the server ) and the system ID ( not number ) and in resources the rfc module functions.

thanks for your reply. Indeed your solution worked for me like a charm but now when i'm deploying my application "Select System" dropdown list is coming as blank showing no system has been maintained in destinations. but i maintained RFC entry into the destination.

Do you have any idea ? Earlier when i configured with HTTP connection it was coming under system selections to deploy.

Hi Anurag,

Check if the server where you have SCC installed SCC at OS level reaches your on-premise system and verify if you need to use a proxy to reach your on-Premise system. If you need to use a proxy, you must configure this in your SCC.

Thanks for your reply.

Indeed I need to use proxy server and i have configured the same upfront only. Still it is not connecting. Also I think the proxy will help to connect the SCC to HCP Account and that is coming as green. While configuration of the system it is not connecting as shown in my screenshot.
