Hi All,
I have a scenario where we are able to see planned cost for an item which is not extended or is physically at the location,But we need to get the cost for the materials reserved/requested from different plant.
we will have parts at central location being reserved from different plant locations.
For Instance:
This work order #2000000 is not showing planned costs for material because it has reserved material from another plant.
Please check the screenshot for reference.
planned cost is only showing for the plant for which Order is created and material is reserved from the same plant.
The cost of materials from other plant are not captured.
Is there any configuration we need to implement or go for custom devlopment.
Your order has a costing error (status CSER).
Check the error log via IW33->Goto->Logs->Cost Determination

Thank you Pete.
I got the cost log error and seems to be quite informative.
Screenshot attached.
What does this say :If price are maintainederror-log.jpg then the plan cost will come for the material reserved from different plant in if cross company code is active.
I've never seend the UserFields tab active before on the ordr header.
Can you send us a screen-shot please. Also, do you know how it was activated?

Hi Pete ,
This tab is designed by SAP for specific Business scenario when WEC module is implemented.
THis can be done by configuration.
Well, it does seem I knew about it - here's an old post from 2005:
If I enter a material in the order from a different plant than the order planning plant, then costs are determined from the new plant. So it works fine in my system.
Are all the plants in the same company code/controlling area?
You shouldnt need to create/extend the materials to each plant, only in the central plant (assuming the same company code/controlling area).

order-cost.jpgPete,
The issue is business does not want to extend the material to all plants.
They need to reserve materiel from different plant.
and as per my understanding Plan cost is calculated at time of reservation.
Now is there a way to show the planned cost in order cost tab when material is reserved from diffrent plant.
Attached is the control tab component and cost tab:
I am able to see the Actual cost after issuing the goods but am not able to see the planned cost.

Can you also put the screenshot of Cost determination Log?

There is no cost log. screenshot attached.
The requirement is:
View the planned/actual cost in work order (created for plant1) of a material reserved in plant 2.
is there a way /concept to implement this scenario.
check the cost for materials (plant 2) reserved for a work order created for cost-log.jpg(Plant 1).
Are you getting any costing errors?
