Scheduling webi Report to FTP destination

Hi

I was trying to schedule a webi report to FTP destination. but no luck, even i tried with some of the tips given by folks in the forum. Getting below error

server error. []: [CrystalEnterprise.Ftp]

because of different OS?

SAP BO 4.1 SP3 server in Linux environment.

Report schedule destination is in Windows shared folder.

Warm Regards

Amar

FTP is OS-agnostic. It makes no difference what the server and client OSs are.

First, double check that the FTP port, host, logon, password, and directory are correct. Make sure you can perform the FTP operation manually.

Next, check the logging directory on the server. You might find a more descriptive error message there.

Hi,

Since "Report schedule destination is in Windows shared folder", why not choose "File System" as your report job destination?

Few things to check before your report job can be successfully write to that shared folder,

1. firewall port to between the BI4 server and shared folder

open xterm on the BI4 server console, and run

telnet shared_host 415

Note that you can find out the shared_host from that Windows shared folder on DFS tab.

2. a valid service account with MODIFY right to write the job output file to that Windows shared folder.
