Enhancement/configuration of CAL deployment

Hi,

is it possible and allowed to use the S/4 HANA 1610 Fully Activated Appliance installation on AWS for integration tests with other products like recipe development, OpenText VIM etc. and therefore install these products on the same platform? (it's not a problem to create additional VMs in AWS should they be required.)

Also, I noticed a popup at setup that indicates this trial may not be used for a POC, which contradicts the blog entry. Is this correct?

Best regards,

Stefan

Hello Stefan,

Yes, the situation will change if you unlock the CAL solution. Then the terms and conditions of the SAP CAL subscription package and your own product licenses will apply.

My recommendation would be to start with the trial to evaluate the S/4HANA solution itself and if you find it good enough for your scenario you could unlock it. For more information, visit the blog.

Best regards,

Thank you Stanimir!

Which type of setup would you recommend for such kind of evaluation (POC)? Is there such an option available from the CAL, or do we have to install ourselves?

[edit] Would the situation change if we unlock the CAL deployment and use it with our licences?

Best regards,

Stefan
