SAP System Landscape planning phase

Dear All,

I have a question... Within SAP landscape would it be possible to implement SAP system landscape as where I can install R/3 Application server on one host and SAPNetveawer Application server on another host, and now both system will use same oracle database (MCOD)on database host? In addition, think of both Application servers would have been installed on Windows platform. But, Database Server installed on UNIX platform...would this Landscape compatible with SAP standards? If any of you has an idea about the question that will much be appreciated…
