Dear SAP colleagues,

We have recently upgrade the Oracle from 11.0.2.0.3 to 12.1.0.2, after the Oracle upgrade we are seeing issues when displaying from the Promenta, Promenta is the third party interface used for the material master data team.

When the users are working on the Promenta HTTP, users see issues like TAG FORMAT INCORRECT, details are not displayed in proper order etc,. When they try to login for third time then they can enter the details. We are seeing this errors intermittently.

We are not exactly sure if it is related to the Oracle upgrade issue or not. Please find details in the attached document of the error and actual screen shot.

We checked with the third party, they say it is not related to the promenta.

Also Promenta uses the EP to retrieve the data. We have EP under N/W 7.02/ Oracle 11.0.2.0.3

Please kindly help with the same. We didn't see this issues before the Oracle upgrade.

Hi Darwin,

"details are not displayed in proper order etc", is it a order display issue you meant?

If there is not "order by" in the code, then upgrade database may probably change the order, because oracle does not guarantee the order
of output without "order by".

However if the issue is not an order issue, please let the third party narrow down this issue. Because even though (probably NOT) this is an database issue, we have to narrow down this issue from application level, then oracle can have a detailed look. If possible, let application provide:

1. which sql is causing issue
2. whether unexpected value returned, which is supposed to correct value?
3. anything related to oracle, etc.

Best regards,
James
