Second Java instance on the same host?

In our XI landscapre, we have installed XDV (Develpoment) and XPD(Production) server on two different hardware hosts. We would like toinstall XQA (Quality) in our XI landscape. Could we use the same XDV hosts to install XQA servers.

Here we are running XI 3.0 SR1 on HP-Unix operating system with Oracle database and Java is the addon on ABAP.The installation is the SAP Web AS 6.40. I find one oss note 568858 but that is for SAP Web AS 6.20. Is there any details on new oss notes for Web AS 6.40 Java addon?

You can install second instance on the same host if you have enough memory and CPUs. Each instance (ABAP +JAVA) with DB consumes about 4-6 GB at a minimum (DEV and QA environment). If you want to install 2nd instance double the memory and have atleast 4 processors.
