DVM, UPL and solution documentation impact - solman 7.1

Former Member

All,

We are thinking to enable above functionalities and as part of impact analysis we have done sizing and existing CPU/RAM/Disk space looks OK. I know for above functionalities there is low impact on solman and managed systems.I have worked on databases which around 1TB but now existing database is around 3,6 and 8 TB so any special recommendation required for DVM,UPL if database is above 2TB ?

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks

Sateesh.

DVM is designed to give you suggestions on your large data sized servers. Please implement it and you can analyze the data for Data redundancy, unused data and database growth. Your servers are good candidate for DVM. UPL has no space related prerequisites.

Some of general prerequisite for DVM 7.2 are -

On Managing System (Solman) -->

1) ST-PI, ST-A/PI plugin update (Latest Level ST-PI 740 Patch 6, ST-A/PI 1S Patch2)

2) Solman Mandatory Configuration( System,Infrastructure, Basic) , Managed System configuration for DVM scope systems.

3) Update DVM and Solman central correction notes.

4) Solman DVM specific authorization for config

On Managed Systems -

1) ST-PI, ST-A/PI plugin update (Latest Level ST-PI 740 Patch 6, ST-A/PI 1S Patch2)

2) SAPOSS, TWC, Read, Back rfc's working correctly.

3) SCC4 and se06 open config.

Thanks,
