how to use "Import Adaptive Web Service Model"?

Hi Friends,

I got the NWDS of Version: 7.0.09. Till prior version i used to use the webservice as model using the option 'Import Web Service Model' by giving the wsdl url.

But now, i found that the 'Import Web Service Model - DEPTRECATED' deprecated. So, i tried to use the adapative webservice model. But when i give the wsdl its looking in the predefined uddi like microsoft, sap, ibm registries..

Could anyone let me know how to use normal webservices which doesnt have any WSIL and has only WSDL for the adaptive webservice model.

Cant we use the webservices which doesnt have WSIL????

could amyone know whether we can use deprecated webservice model or not? i mean what would be the implications in using the deprecated model.

Thanks,

Raghavendra Pothula

      Patrick,

I didnt get answer for this neither from SDN nor from any SAP Notes. Instead of waiting for that i created Portal Service which calls WebService. Then i am using that Portal Service in my WebDynpro's, Portal Applications.

This is ridicolous that there is no notes or information available on this... 😔

      Thanks,

    Hi

You can import the adaptive webservice using WSDL file.

    Try this

Import Web Service Model-> Select the localfile system or url-> Give the location of the wsdl file

    Kind Regards

      Hi Mukesh!

The "normal" webservice model import is deprecated.

I just want to use the adaptive webservice model, but that doesn't really work... 😔 (Just take a look at my post "Embedding adaptive webservice model" in this forum.

      Kind regards, Patrick.

    Raghavendra,

Check this document: Using" target="_blank">www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b2bc0932-0d01-0010-6d8e-cff1b2f22bc7">Using the Adaptive Web Service Model for Java Web Dynpro

At least on screen-shots (from document above) WSDL/WSIL are both valid options 😊
