IDNLF fields in SRM and SAP

For some reason, the vendor catalog number field (IDNLF) in SRM is only 22 characters, while in SAP, it is 35. We have looked over and applied several notes in our systems to make both 35 characters. However, nothing is working. When the shopping cart transfers over into SAP as a requisition, the number is chopped off after 22 characters.

Did anyone else experience this problem? If so, how did you resolve it?
