Document Splitting in GL

Dear Experts

I am using ECC Version 6.00

I activated FI document splitting based on segment. I have done the required customisations and when i post a document involving two dimensions (segments) i expect system to create clearing line items for balancing segments whereas no additional line items are generated.

But when i simulate the same document (for document splitting) under the expert mode I could see the results.

What is the reason for the above behaviour. Please do let me know in case i you need further explanation.

Thanks and Regards

Subbu

    Hi Subbu,

Have you checked whether the Zero balance checkbox is activated in IMG activity SIMG_FAGL_ACTIV_SPL1 "Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger Accounting" ?

    Best Regards,

    Nilay

      Hello Nilay

Settings mentioned by you were already done.

dimension under which one needs to split the document (business area, segment) should be maintained in IMG

Assign scenarios and customer fields to ledgers

Now i have maintained this also and it is working fine

      Thanks and Regards

      Subbu
