How to Gray out the Dep Key

Can any one guide me on this.

we want to gray out the field (DEP KEY- in Asset master) for particular asset class.

need urgent help.

Hi,

create a new "screen layout rule" and assign it to your asset class with transaction am02

you can modify screen layout rule in AM02 with: environment-screen layout-master data

Try in the IMG under Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Asset Accounting (lean implementation) > Organizational structures > Asset Classes > Specify required entries for asset master data

or under Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Organizational structures > Asset Classes > Create Screen layout rules

Thanks a lot, I got one more way: Please have a look

SPRO>Asset Accounting>Valuation-->Determine Dep Areas in the Asset Class

Here if I deactivated(dep area) for the respective asset class for which i dont require DEP to run, for Example: for all CWIP assets.
