RFC sender adapter error

I'm getting following error when I activated the RFC sender adapter.

com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: error initializing RfcServerPool:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.repository.RfcRepositoryException: can not connect to destination system due to: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed

Connect_PM TYPE=A ASHOST=164.172.230.136 SYSNR=04 GWHOST=164.172.230.136 GWSERV=sapgw04 PCS=1

where as ASHOST is my CRM system IP address and its gateway.

I created a ProgramID called MYPROGID in CRM (Type T, registered program) and gave XI host IP, and gateway there. In XI adapter configuration I gave my CRM IP, gateway, and the MYPROGID. Still Its not able to connect. What am I missing here?

Micheal,

I've gone through ur blog, but still I got few questions.

RFC destination in SM59 is created in ERP(CRM in my case) right? So, the host, gateway we specify in the RFC destination creation is of CRM(according to ur blog)?

Am I missing anything?

Also, program Id "sdnweblogs", is just a text right? no program associated with it right?

Also, in sender adapter configuration, we need to give CRM host, gateway right?

Hi,

Go to Transaction SMGW and check the gateway service in CRM system and give the same gateway service in RFC adapter configuration.

Hi Anika,

As is posted in your other post you need to be sure that SM59 Host, Gateway and program ID should be equal to Sender Adapter Host, Gateway and program ID.

For Eg:

CRM RFC destination (SM59)

Gateway Host : 164.172.230

Gateway Service : sapgw04

Program ID : MyProgramID

XI Sernder RFC Adapter

Gateway Host : 164.172.230

Gateway Service : sapgw04

Program ID : MyProgramID

This should work
