Hi Team,

We want to setup a pop up message when we login to HANA system via studio

For example like a Welcome message.

Is there any way we can configure that in HANA ?

Thanks and Regards,

Mathan A

For this scenario, it's probably best to set the system usage type of the production system to "productive".

This leads to a changed background color in HANA Studio and a warning pop up for each eclipse SQL editor when SQL commands should be executed.

Hi Mathan,

HANA Studio is nothing more than Eclipse + SAP Plugins. With that said, I'm sure you can create other plugin on top of it and implement your feature.

The main question here is why would you want to do that? You can use the Webide instead (which by the way is the preferred tool for modeling for instance) and maybe change the initial login page there. Possible havoc to change everytime you upgrade but that's your requirement ;)

Hi Lucas,

Thanks for the reply.

Our requirement is as below,

We have our sandbox environment in which we restore our production data for analysis. Users tend to think that sandbox as production as they see latest data in it.

So if we can set this welcome message, we can add that it is a sandbox system also in the machine.

Thanks and Regards,

The users could simply look at the system they're logged in or administration window and tell if they're on prod / sandbox.
Other than that, I don't recall anything out-of-the-box for this kind of requirement.
