Dear Experts ,

I have designed weekly report and scheduled every sunday 8 AM via email . Everything is working perfect .

In my report there is no filter and parameter option , its very simple report and designed with 5 major columns .

When report trigger on sunday , i need to check is_breached column value , if any of the row value returns "True" , then report should not trigger .

Is it possible to achieve , is there any way to check my condition , Please suggest . i have strong experience in designing report , but i don't have an idea about cmc and report scheduling , since i am new to this topic .

Hi Sri,

Setup an "Alert" on the "is_breached" field in the report.

Read through this document on how to "subscribe" to alerts in BI Platform:

https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-20469

Hi Abhilash ,

Thanks for the info .

I checked your Link , In that they clearly mentioned about alert notification , but user also receiving mail .

I am using Sap Business object BI Platform 4.1 service pack 2 . When i right click on .rpt file , i don't have an "subscribe " option , please check image 1 , so i tried with Alert Notification option from "schedule " , please check image 2 . In this case i am getting both Alert mail and scheduled mail .

But in our requirement , if alert occurs Report should not trigger to Client .else is there any other way to check , if condition not satisfy , email should not trigger .

Please suggest 1.png 2.png

Hi Sri,

Setup the alert on the report to trigger when is_breached = false.

So, when is_breached = true, the report does not alert nor does it trigger any e-mail.

Hi Abhilash ,

I have applied same alert condition which you mentioned , in crystal query it returns 2 row , in one row i have an true value and another row its return false . Now it showing alert (i,e) no of record i have false value ., that's fine.

Alerts simply giving notification , its not stopping mail to trigger .

But in my case , if record have true value then mail should not trigger for client . please suggest .

Hi , I think its not possible to read data from cmc .

I check some alternate solution and i have suppressed whole section based on condition .

Now i makes report empty . Is it possible to avoid sending blank report when all sections suppressed based on formula .

Please suggest .
