Hi all,
I'm using Design Studio 1.6 SP4. I'm creating dashboard tiles in Design Studio. The tiles require both summary-level data (total number of products, average cost, number of employees, etc.) and detail-level data stored in a table in the same tile. If I pull data elements containing the summary data into the same query as the detail data, is it possible to get both kinds of data into the tile using the same data source/query? Along similar lines, is it possible to create two different charts with completely different fields using a single data source/query? From what I've seen in both cases, how I set the initial view determined what I would see in any resulting crosstabs or charts.
Thanks,
Krishna
Yes, thank you, it's much clearer now 🙂 That said, I don't think you will be able to use the same data source here.

Hi Krishna,
you may use a Text component to display some data. This is usefull if you want to display measure total.
So you can use the same data source to display total and table.

The initial view determines what you see in a Crosstab component. But, as for the InfoCharts you can filter what you are displaying in the InfoChart's properties.
Your question is very complex and imprecise, I would advise that you break it down into chunks and open relevant threads to cover just one issue at a time, so that you can accompany it by a screen shot of what your data source and the components and what you are trying to achieve. Otherwise it's quite difficult to figure out what you mean by "tiles", for example, and what you are actually trying to show in them.
