Hi,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this. Please bear with me if the subject is inappropriate (any redirections would be appreciated).
To ease perusal, please find my questions highlighed in Bold
The SAP Portal allows organizations to pool content from various sources (such as numerous internal portals) and make them available via ONE entry point. If I am not mistaken, I understand that the Portal achieves this via iViews and KM.
I know we can use certain iViews to grab content from external sources (like Yahoo) and integrate it into the Portal. However, I am somewhat dumbfounded with how we can actually link and reuse content from existing portals in the organization. It would not make sense if we use a URL iView for ALL of our content. There has to be a better way. Initially, I thought we could use the KM and set a Web/WebDAV repository, where we can assign the KM iViews to the content. In this case, content developers can either work on the content via the Portal or directly on the content server. However, I have not been successful at retrieving content from the Web/WebDAV repositories. It is possible that my setup is wrong, but I do need to know if I am on the right track in integrating content to the Portal.
Any other advice on this matter would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Yours truly.
