Substitution in Fiori Approve Timesheets (Version 2)

Hi,

We are implementing Approve Timesheets (Version 2). The application is working fine if the employee is the direct subordinate to the manager

Our issue is mainly regarding the Substitution feature and Forwarded workitem.

1) Stranded Substitution using HRUS_D2 is showing the Timesheet approval work item in ECC Inbox (SBWP) and portal Inbox (UWL). But this is not showing in Fiori Approve Timesheets application.

2) Also we have a custom relationship in the managers position if the position is vaccent to redirect the workflow to the substitute manager. The workflow is identifying this relationship and the workitem is sent to the Substitute manager. This work item is showing in ECC Inbox (SBWP) and portal Inbox (UWL). But this is not showing in Fiori Approve Timesheets application.

3) If we forward the workitem from SWIA the workitem is showing in ECC and Portal but not in Fiori Approve Timesheets application.

Is Substitution not supported in Timesheet approval application?

Hi!

We had the same requirement. We did not use WF for approval but the Organizational structure.You can implement a BAdI to redefine the employee search to include substitutions.

BAdI: HCM_B_APPROVE_TIMESHEETS

Hi Suman,

I have recently worked on similar scenario.

If you're using custom workflow, Approve Timesheets doesnot work with custom workflow.

That's the reason you can see workitem in ECC inbox , not in Approve Timesheet.

Approve Timesheets works at Organization level relationship.

There is always an option to extend Approve Timesheet app to support this scenario.
