create an absence record through Rules

Hi Team,

I am using positive time management wherein I want to create Absence Type if Employee is late more than 180 mins automatically through Time evaluation.

I don't want a message and then manually create in IT2001.

Please suggest any operation/function which can meet the purpose.

    Hi Prabhu,

Negative time evaluation is more my thing but I believe I can part help you. You can configure an absence reason in table V_T705A , assign an absence type to the absence reason and then use the 4 digit absence reason as a pin code against the late clock in.

Then in your schema you can use two operations in a PCR. The first one is R555D, this operation reads table V_T705A according to the absence reason you have specified in your pin code against the clock in the time pair being processed. You can then use operation PPINC which processes the absence reason and creates an absence type.

I seem to think that the record created will be locked meaning you will have to use PCR TD80.

I hope this was of some use.
