ODS ACTIVATION FAILED

Hi Friends,

When i try to activate data from new data table to active data table using the datasource 0FI_TAX_04 & ODS is 0FITX_O04, it gets failed but the data is coming successfully upto New Data Table,activation is getting failed:

ERROR MESSAGE:

1.No SID found for value 'V3 ' of characteristic 0FISCVARNT.

2.Fiscal year variant V3 not expected

3.Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table 0FISCPER.

4.Activation of data records from ODS object 0FITX_O03 terminated.

5.Error getting SID for ODS object 0FITX_O03

try to right-click on your source system and select 'transfer global settings'

Hi Frier,

I have already tried that one by going to sourcesystem & selecting "TRANSFER GLOBAL SETTINGS" then in that screen by selecting "Fiscal Year Variants" & "Rebuild Tables", but eventhough i have done, getting the same error when i try to enter into "Maintain Master Data" of Fiscal year objects

ERROR: The master data table of char. 0FISCVARNT is notgenerated, operation terminated.

I think so this is DB problem, since it is saying that the master data tables for fiscal variant objects aren't generated, so it's getting SID problem, as of my knowledge it's better taking help from BASIS guys or ABAP guys for generating the tables which are related to Fiscal year objects

What do you say ? pls suggest me

I think you can ask you BASIS guys to run a DB check on the table /bi0/MFISCVARNT...

I think your 0FISCVARNT is defined incorrectly.

On 'my' 0FISCVARNT the table T009 is used and not /BI0/MFISCVARNT.

Can you activate 0FISCVARNT from business content again?

I activated 0FISCVARNT once again by grouping "only necessary objects", but getting same error.

Can you tell me "how to generate The master data table of char. 0FISCVARNT" ?

If at all we can be able to generate this table, then the problem is solved. but how!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when you activate the infoobject the master data tables should be recreated...

I still think that your infoobject is incorrectly build. What does the version comparison from the infoobject maintenance tell you?

We are not looking at the same thing... More up and left... Select 'version comparison' -> 'display differences only' -> 'active/content version'.

You may also find som interesting stuff in the extras-menu...

Try opening the object 0FISCVARNT and then see whetehr master data is activate dornot - also try reactivating from this screen. Then go to the master data tab and double click on the master data table row - see if it gives an error message here as well.

if it doesnt then check for the value V3 in the master data table.

Try run transacton RSRV to check on the problem characteristic, and the ODS first for a preliminary dignosis.

Hi,

There should be a REPAIR function in RSRV. Have you tried repairing it? Also please run for 0FISCVARNT.

Thanx for ur replay once again, ya i have tried, but no use still getting the same error, not only for that ODS that i mentioned above, and also getting the same error for 0FI_GL_4 & 0FIGL_O02.

it is showing the error in LONG TEXT OF ERROR MESSAGE TAB.

Diagnosis:

Characteristic value V3 does not exist in the master data table of characteristic 0FISCVARNT . Therefore, this value could not be transformed into the internal SID.

hi,

I was wondering if the value 'V3' is maintained properly for 0FISCVARNT. Please verify the master data of 0FISCVARNT and check if 'V3' is there.... otherwise you can manually maintain the value in that.
