Problem with MDM - Oracle

Dear MDM Gurus,

I have installed MDM (5.5 - SP3),Oracle Db and Client (10.2.0.1) (10 g - free from Oracle website ) in one machine.

I mounted the MDM server but when I try to add the DBMS it gives me an error saying "Error in Initializing database engine".

I was planning on using the oracle user SYSTEM to connect from MDM DBMS Settings

Kindly let me know how I can fix this problem.

What are the config required to connect MDM with Oracle.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Jack

Hello Jack

You are getting an error on either user authentication, no listener configured or not enough permissions.

Either way, I've tried to use MDM SP03 with Oracle 10.2 and after I passed this user issue, I got a message with something like "SAP MDM 5.5 SP03 does not support this database version" or something like that.

After reviewing the PAM I realized that Oracle 10.2 is supported only by SP04, not SP03. You should be using Oracle 9.2

I hope that helps
