Hi,

We are having a SAP server with 15 cal license users. (offline)
This happen with not all users, 1 or 2 user have more kick out then another.

I have try to do ping test, but our network are doing very well.

Error message is just not "responding" or SBO just close off itself.
we have try using another workstation and it's shows that it's the user ID that is having issue.

Any advise please?

Hi Ong Jie,

Can you provide some more detail about your environment and any errors you are seeing in system logs? For instance, you mention "SBO," so I presume you mean SAP Business One. Based on that, I have adjusted your primary tag to reflect this environment.

When users are kicked out, what message do they see on their screen? What gets recorded at that time in the system log, or in work process traces? When you ping tested, did you use niping, or just regular ping? You mention that your network is not doing very well; have you involved your network operations team? You also mention the problem seems to concentrate on just a couple of users, and follows them around if they logon from different workstations. Does that also mean that if another user logons from the workstation of one of the affected users, does this second user not experience the problem?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi,

Check your network firewall blocks the ports 30000-10 and 1433.

Hi Ong Jie,

A more serious problem of that nature should not be tried to solve over this Community channel, the topic is just too comprehensive (can have various causes, depend on certain user actions, installation/add-on/customer specific issues, environmental, etc.).

Many of similar facts are well documented in SAP notes, as well as instructions how to perform an error analysis. So, you/your partner should anyway start with that existing information.

If you cannot find a solution immediately, please create an incident to your partner/SAP, see SAP Note 722980.
I'm sure the colleagues will quickly find a solution.

Best regards, Peter

Hi Matt,

Please see below.

Can you provide some more detail about your environment and any errors you are seeing in system logs?
J: where do i see system logs? SBO just close itself in some scenario or show the "not responding" on the program itself which require to close SBO.

so I presume you mean SAP Business One.
J: Yes we are using SAP Business One V9.2

When users are kicked out, what message do they see on their screen? What gets recorded at that time in the system log,
J: it show "not responding" you are allow to pick wait for respond or close SBO. Please guide me how to check system log.

When you ping tested, did you use niping, or just regular ping?
J: Just normal Ping on SAP. I directly PING SAP in our offline environment when i am in a client PC.

You mention that your network is not doing very well; have you involved your network operations team?
J: No, you got the wrong idea. My offline network is doing very well. What i meant by offline network is not hook up with the internet.

You also mention the problem seems to concentrate on just a couple of users, and follows them around if they logon from different workstations.
J: Yes, we have 15 SAP user license and mostly having kick out are our Super users. As much as 6 time a day...

Regards,
JF

As an FYI, if you don't respond with a comment directly to my answer, I don't receive any notification that you responded at all. I just now saw this answer from you. It's one of the quirks of how notifications work on this platform.

.

I don't have any experience with Business One, so I'll leave it to the others here to guide you on how to find system logs, etc. In a regular ECC system, you would find that with transaction code SM21.

.

Cheers,
Matt
