Data Migration into S/4 Hana Enterprise Management using SAP Data Services

Hi all,

Could someone explain me, how I migrate data into S/4 HANA Enterprise?

Are in S/4 HANA the same Idocs (MATMAS/CUSMAS/VENMAS, etc.) available as in SAP ECC that I can trigger with SAP Data Services using RDS?

And in case that there is no Idoc available: can I migrate data using SAP Standard Batch or Direct Input (BOM with RCSBI010-40, Equipments and Functional location with RIIBIP00, PIR with RM06IBI0, etc.).

Or can I even use a Recording (first option in LSMW)?

I had a look at the "Simplification List for SAP S/4HANA 1610" and did not even find several objects of our SAP ERP.

We run beside the classic FI-CO-MM-SD also PS, PM and QM.

Are these modules also covered by S/4 HANA Enterprise or will there be a kind of hybrid solution that some processes run in S/4 and others still in the SAP ECC?

Any information that makes it more clear to me is appreciated.

There's an SAP Best Practice solution with extended prededined content for loading data into S/4HANA. All but one object (Business Partners) is loaded using IDOC functionality. That content is free and available for download on SMP. Check SAP Note

2239701 for download instructions.

HI Dirk,

I was wondering how to handle all the objects, that are not covered by RDS.

I have now a PS-Migration. Checking OSS-Note 2239701 I see 49 objects in total (RDS Includes the following SAP S/4HANA objects).

There are Workcenters and WorkBreakdownStructure listed. However NETWORKS are missing in the list.

How can I now migrate PS networks to S4?

I usually use BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI in order to load networks.

Do I have to create an idoc with BAPI and implement it into SAP Data Services?

Looking forward to your early reply!

Thanks in advance!

No, you can safely use the existing BAPI. Check the job Job_DM_BusinessPartner_RFC in the package, that's using a BAPI, too.

Great. That might be a sample how to implement a BAPI in SAP DS.
