Sapinst Error Export DB Oracle

Hello,

We are doing export of the data base of a Enterprise system 4,7 SP2,

S.O. Windows, DB Oracle, Kernel 640.

We obtain an error in the step before to R3szchk and file DBSIZE.XML is

not generated.

In log we found the following message:

DbSl Trace: ORA-24508 occured when executing SQL statement (parse error

offset = 29)

ERROR: ExeRead for get_loc_table_inf failed

ORA-24508: Message 24508 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=ORA

Error generating DDLINF.TPL

(UPT) Info: Preparing tables and tablespace entries.

(UPT) Info: Distributing tables and tablespace entries.

(WLL) Info: finished writing location lists

According to the information that we have consulted, the error talks

about a problem of Buffer, we have restart the server and execute again

the export but the error continue.

Please,what can be happening?

Thank you,

Regards.

    Hi Rafa,

ok, perhabs a bit late for a response, but anyway:

    ORA-24508: Message 24508 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=ORA

This "Message... not found" alone is a critical error. It means that the message files are not found or not the correct ones. So basically the Oracle Installation is messed up here.

You should not reboot the box but reinstall Oracle and the Patchsets and then try again.

    KR Lars
