Has anybody tried "SES" connector for connecting to the R/3. I am try for the option of searching the vendors and customers from my backend r/3 system. It gives me the error
"Error establishing connection to RFC Destination 'SID':com.sap.security.core.server.destinations.api.DestinationException". Is it necessary to configure the JCO destination to the backend system in argo J2EE server. I am not finding the visual administrator tool as part of the J2EE server. Is it required to setup a SLD in the J2EE server and then connect to the backend system thru JCO destination properties mentioned for the SES connector. What is the value to be set for 'des.host' in the global property ?

Velu
Hey Velu,
You should be able to create a RFC destination from the configuration wizard provided in Enterprise search. However for that you would have to specify the connection properties [System ID, message server etc] properly. Also once the destination is created you can test it from the configuration wizard itself.
des.host = hostname of the machine hosting the j2ee instance for argo
Also check your proxy settings in the global settings
Have you already done the TREX configuration part for the SES ???

Kai-Uwe Reimers,
Thanks for sharing the info. I am trying to connect with ECC 6.0 system, where the function module 'COM_SES_SEARCH_OBJECTS' is available. I think, this is the function module configured in Argo for "SES" connection. While connecting to the system from vendor search in argo. I am getting the following error
Error during searching Vendor:
Fail to init client by SID'ashost' is missing
Any idea ? I have configured my R3Name and Gateway host in the SES configuration.

Velu

Hi Velu,
You have to maintain the system parameters in the Installation Wizard. This Wizards creates the appropriate destinations. The "des.host" is the Argo Server e.g. http://<your.server>:50000. You don't have to set up a SLD on the J2EE server. What kind of back end are you using? SES is just available in mySAP ERP 2005. If you have additional questions please let me know.

Kai-Uwe Reimers
