I have created a BEx query which contain some characteristic variables and one hierarchy node variable. At first when I add this query, there was a blue arrow showing against the hierarchy node variable so I defined default values for each variable. After addition of the Bex query in dashboard design, characteristic prompts shows as grayed out and we cannot use them as Query Selector Prompt or from Excel. On the other hand, Hierarchy node variable shows itself as active and can be utilized. I read through a lot of posts and found out that it can be due to the variable dependency issue and applied note 1711564 where I need to add "DguessDependencies=false" in CMC ->DashboardProcessingServer-> Java VM Child but issue is still there. I would appreciate your prompt response in this regard.
