Problem filtering rows

I have a table which hold patients, visits (date of service) and diagnosis_codes.

A visit can have multiple codes.

We are looking for patients who have not had a particular diagnosis_codes, lets call it codea and codeb. Either they never had this code, or they have not had it since 20160301. I guess the logic would apply for both, they haven't had this code since 20160301.

I am having problem how to filter. I have made a group on the patient_number. And showing in the group footer. I have tried to select on the group that the code is not in 'codea', 'codeb' but its still letting in people who did have the visit and after 20160301. Can you suggest what I can do?

    Hi Phil,

    1. Create a formula @Selection with this code:

    If ({Diagnosis_Code} IN ['CodeA','CodeB']) AND {ServiceDate} > date(2016,03,01) then 1

    2. Go to the 'Group Selection Formula' and add this code:

    Maximum({@Selection},{PatientNum}) = 0

You need to show sample of data to are getting and how you would like to see it.

    Also show record selection formula.
