Error while creating RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI

Hi All,

I want to activate ABAP Proxies in ECC 5.0. For that I am using following Blog:

/people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies

In this, while creating LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI destnations

I get following error 'Connection error:Error opening an RFC connection'.

I have given the same program ID in J2EE engine for JCo RFC Provider service of XI & the RFC destinations created in ECC 5.0 i.e. LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI.

Can anybody please guide me on this.

Thanks & Regards,

Chandravadan

Michal : Yes, I have selected that option.

Hi Michal,

Yes, I have properly given the Gateway Host & Sevrice of XI.

After all that I have restarted the JCo service.

Still I get the RFC connection error..

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

These are the following settings I have done for RFC destinations & in J2EE engine...

In ECC 5.0 :

Maintaining the RFC Destination LCRSAPRFC

RFC destination: LCRSAPRFC

Connection type: T

Technical settings tab page : In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, LCRSAPRFC_CC5.

GateHost : <Hoat name of XI>

Gateway Service : <of XI>

Special Options tab page:Unicode flag selected.

Maintaining the RFC Destination SAPSLDAPI

RFC destination: SAPSLDAPI

Connection type: T

Technical settings tab page : In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, SAPSLDAPI_CC5.

GateHost : <Hoat name of XI>

Gateway Service : <of XI>

Special Options tab page:Unicode flag selected.

In Visual Administrator of XI:

For LCRSAPRFC:

1.RFC destination:

Program ID : LCRSAPRFC_CC5.

GateHost : <Host name of XI>

Gateway Service : <of XI>

No. of Processes : 3

2.Repository:

Application Server Host : <Host name of XI>

System Number : 00

Client : 400

Language : EN

USER : SAPJSF

3. Unicode Selected.

Similarly for SAPSLDAPI.

Hi Jaiswal,

Check once whether Gateway Host and Service have been properly mentioned for those RFC's or not...
