ESS Who's Who removing Change Own Data Link

Hi,

Set-up ESS who's who with no issue on EP7 with ECC6. However I wish to remove the "Change Own Data" link from the page.

I have reviewed the IMG but cannot find where to change the details. Also I cannot find Personnel Management >> Employee Self Service, so I'm unsure if we have loaded up our business package correctly. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. What I didn't make clear was I have already removed the "Change Own Data" from the Employee Search homepage, but the link also exists on the who's who search page (next to the Advance Search link). I'm not sure if the link is created within the webdynpro application (which I can change using netweaver developer studio, but it becomes an overhead to maintain). Once again thanks for the reply and hope to find a solution.

I have the same issue and would like to remove the "change own data" link from the who's who iView, i think that this link is being created through Webdynpro and I need to change it through NWDS. Have you figured out how it can be done?

Hi Brian and Ritesh,

Yes, you have to change the webdynpro code to remove the 'change own data' link inside the who is who application. there is no other way to do it

Hii..

I figured it out myself.. :).. no change in the code is needed.. We can do it from config only.. Thanks for your help anyways.. glad to have figured it out and done away with it..

I found the necessary setting.

It's in transaction PZUSWHO.

Deactivate "Allow own data to be maintained"

HI Brian,

Do the following steps:

TCode: spro

SAP Reference Img

--Cross Application Components

--Home page Framework

--Services

--Assign serives to subAreas

--Execute - Choose (find entries) and mark the "EMPLOYEE_SEARCH_CHANGEOWNDATA" field Position as ‘0’ (zero).

Log off and login portal and see the effect taken place.

Hope you can do it easily now..

If your problem gets solved, close the thread and confirm the same
