Adding wait time in campaign action

Hi Experts,

I am working on campaign management on Hybris marketing on premise application. As one of the scenarios, it is required to have 2 actions in campaign with one action to trigger with some delay after campaign and first action has executed. E.g. campaign is created with 2 action i.e. Send Email and Send SMS. SMS should be sent immediately once campaign is executed however email should be sent with a delay of 6 hrs post SMS.

Is there any standard functionality that can fulfill this scenario?

Hi Maris,

Is it possible to have the delay parameters added to all send-email step in all types of campaigns rather than just Trigger based.

This way we can set the delay parameter for each individual mail step even if two actions are being triggered after the common step.

Of course, you can add a delay time in any campaign type and any action. See attached sample, where follow-up email will be sent, if original email was not opened within one day.

I am aware of the trigger action and wait condition but my scenario is a bit different, I am not able to wait for user action like email opened/link clicked. What i want is, in a blank campaign from the node target group i have two action branches and both are send email, its only in one of these actions i need to put a delay, which means after the first email is sent i need to add a wait of lets say 7 days and then send the second email, it does not matter whether or not user performed any action on the first email. Now the send email step has the send parameters available but only in trigger campaign mode and not in others. Please see the image of my scenario its only in one branch i want the delay.

the send parameters as seen are only in trigger mode and i want to enable the same for all other campaign types. Any leads will help 🙂

I there an option available for sms, similar to "opened email" / "not opened email"? In that case you can define two alternatives that after 6 hours send an email either sms was opened or not.

Hi Maris,

That is for triggering second action based on customer's action on first action. But my requirement is to add wait while executing it for the first time itself.

Then I don't understand your original question. You said "SMS should be sent immediately once campaign is executed however email should be sent with a delay of 6 hrs post SMS." That seems to be two action campaign.

For a first action you can set a delay by planning execution of a campaign itself, just don't start it immediately.
