Meet the Experts: How to use recording

Former Member

I appreciate the fact that a recording of the Meet the Experts session is available. Could someone please tell me what software is required to view or listen to the recording? The file type is .wrf, which is apparently some sort of WebEx file. But it is not clear how the file is to be used.

Thanks in advance,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

you use the WebEx Player to play the files.

You can find the player under

http://sap.webex.com

then select set up and install the meeting manager.

A little more hand holding, please. I went to sap.webex.com, ran setup, it said it installed OK. Now what? I still have a .wrf file sitting on my hard drive with no registered application to read it. I'm a WebEx novice with no spare time to research this further, but I would like to listen to these sessions.

Thanks,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

The WebEx player associates its extensions files only if you

run it once in your pc.

For this...

Goto Start Menu->Programs->WebEx Record & Playback->WebEx Player

Execute the player. Now you will see the icon of file with extension .wrf is changed to the web-ex icon.

Hope it solves your problem. Enjoy listening to WebEx Sessions.

The WebEx Meeting Manager installer says it installed successfully. However, there are no resulting Start Menu entries for WebEx and a complete search of my hard disk finds nothing.

Hi,

the webex player basically can be accessed via this shortcut:

"C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\Webex\320\atauthor.exe" -PLAYER

Just adjust the path to the atauthor.exe to fit to your local sys env.

Execute it and open the file with it...

Hi Kelly,

I have updated my previous post. Just click the link to download the player.

I am again sorry for the last misleading post.
