Can we monitor Daily Loads in HANA ?

Hello Experts,

I am new to HANA, I have question regarding daily Loads in HANA, Is there any concepts or tool where we can monitor loads that are happen in daily basis like BW ! where we monitor process chain.

In HANA also we need to load data from sources system to HANA,so there would be something where we do monitor in our project.

What do we do if we have HANA support project?

Hi Ankit,

Since data in HANA resides in memory all the time(restrictions apply :)), multiple layers/redundancy of data is not recommended. What ETL operations you need to have you can build it in your models and execute them on the fly without having to store the processed data. For this reason(one of the reason) HANA by itself does not have any data load monitoring tools on it.

If you have your BW on HANA, then BW is your application layer which provide you with all data warehousing capabilities. If you are using SLT or any external tool for loading data then the I am sure the ETL tool has the information you need to monitor the data load.

You can also use audit tables, just plain tables which store start time, end time and exceptions, if any , for data loads.
