fixed assets -previous depreciated value

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to maintain previous depreciated value of a particular asset in current fiscal year . One of my customer now going to upgrade to fixed asset module ,He would like to maintain previous depreciated asset values for future reference in asset master data .(Reports purpose ).Is it possible to maintain depreciated value in asset master data.which is not recorded in sap previously they maintained these values in excel.

ex:

Asset "AAS001" purchased on Aug 2014 ,Useful life 60 months.

Capitalization date is 2014 Nov

Depreciation for the year 2014_15 and 2015_16 posted .

now he want to maintain 15&16 year depreciated value in asset master data.

The periods have to be created prior to the asset being created or the fiscal year will not exist for that asset. My problem resolved

We have a similar problem so rather than starting a new post I created one here. We only had periods setup for the current and prior year. Now when converting fixed assets, we could not post prior depreciation. So we setup posting periods for prior years, but the error message received states "Fiscal year 214 is not enabled for tixed assets; change the fiscal year".

The fiscal year setup no longer exists in Fixed assets, so we made certain the period was open and still receive the same error message. Any suggestions?
