Upgrade BI JAVA / problems during offline phase - premature end of file

Hi there,

we have a problem on a BI Java system. That system is on NW 7.50 SPS3 and should be upgraded to NW 7.50 SPS6. The upgrade was sucessufully on the DEV and QUA systems with the same files. But on prod we get an error like this in SUM execution phase.

Error While Parsing the portalapp.xml descriptor of application: com.sap.portal.runtime.system.hooks, There is probably a structural problem of the descriptor. see nested SAXException for details. -> Premature end of file.

The mentioned EPBASIS06P_2-80000701.SCA is valid and can be unzipped manually. So this file is not damaged

If i press retry on SUM, it will go on. At last SUM will show me 100% done. But if try to open the portal (URL/irj/portal) i get a blank white screen and nothing happens

Has anyone seen such an error during the execution phase? Unfortunately i cant find anything ...

Hi Stefan

Can you try to do the update via the latest SUM version and check if its still failing with the same error or not ?
