500 SAP Internal Server Error (type of termination: ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE )

Hi,

I am passing some parameters in the function <b>HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION </b>from my BSP Page..if return is zero it's working

But for some other parameters the following error has come

.

<i>

500 SAP Internal Server Error

Error message: Overtime overlaps with working or core time, was therefore delimited ( type of termination: ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE )

</i>

Actually i want to capture the return type "Overtime overlaps..." in my BSP Pragram.

But if i call the fuction from se38 editor instead of BSP,

It's working fine for all.

Advance Thanks,

JBP.

    Hi,

    I hope you mean se37 isntead of se38. Anyway, is your BSP running on the same machine as the HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION resides? If not, you will have a problem due to the fact that HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION isn't RFC enabled. As this FM is standard SAp FM, you need to 'wrap' in another RFC enabled FM.

      Hi,

      If i use the FM in report (se38) it's working...

      my problem is if i use the FM in BSP..i am getting '500:SAP Internal server error' for some cases..

      It works fine if i pass the follwing param..

      <i>

      CALL FUNCTION 'Z_OVERTIME'

      EXPORTING

      employeenumber = '00002509'

      validitybegin = '20060714'

      validityend = '20060714'

      start = '100000'

      end = '120000'

      recordnumbers = '000'

      • LOCKINDICATOR =

      • NOCOMMIT =

      operation = 'REQUEST'

      importing

      return = return.

      </i>

      <b>here return is nothing....</b> , the same doesn't work if i change the param to some other date(since it retuns

      'some error msg').as a result i am getting the error..

      <b><i>

      500 SAP Internal Server Error

      Error message: Overtime overlaps with working or core time, was therefore delimited ( type of termination: ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE )

      </i></b>

    I dont think you can use if FM in BSP. check out the documentation of this FM where it says its using call dialog and the error messages are actally thrown by the screens.

      yes..it's using call dialog.

      Unfortunately I have designed my application using the above fn module. It was working for most of the cases expect few conditions which return error msg.

      Plz suggest me how to proceed ?

      Rgds,
