Accessing SLD and XI in relation to BW

Hi all,

I am actually in to SAP BW. But I am also getting in to SAP XI. I am very new to XI.

To access the SLD of XI, I entered the following url but its giving me "Page can not be displayed"

http://diamond:50500/rep/start/index.jsp

I have also installed Java 1.4.2_12.....

Can anyone give me a clue what could be the issue is about....

Also, Could any one tell me how is XI related to SAP BW. I mean, Can I use XI to interface BW with the R3 system, other non-sap sytems etc.....

I did all that you mentioned but still I am not able to access SLD page.....

Here is what I am getting the message after doing Check:

Summary: Connection to the XI Profile works correctly

hi,

check all messages from SLDCHECK

as it should open an SLD page

if not there must be some error message

(not the last one)

if it doesn't want to open it means it's not

correctly configured (SLDAPICUST etc)

so ask your basis consultants to fix it

to access SLD type transaciton: SLDCHECK

in your XI

to access XI type: SXMB_IFR

if it won't work this mesans it's not configured
