Accessing SLD and XI in relation to BW

Hi all,

I am actually in to SAP BW. But I am also getting in to SAP XI. I am very new to XI.

To access the SLD of XI, I entered the following url but its giving me "Page can not be displayed"

http://diamond:50500/rep/start/index.jsp

I have also installed Java 1.4.2_12.....

Can anyone give me a clue what could be the issue is about....

Also, Could any one tell me how is XI related to SAP BW. I mean, Can I use XI to interface BW with the R3 system, other non-sap sytems etc.....
