I installed the latest (12 sept) NW2004s ABAP Preview on Windows XP prof and decided to uninstall it. I tried to use the standard uninstall but this failed because of database errors. Therefor I tried to uninstall by hand (filesystem and registry).
When I now try to reinstall it the installer complains that there is already a NSP instance installed.
What should I do to delete this NSP instance?
Best regards,
Martin
Make sure that you get rid of the c:\sap folder and the c:\sapdb folder. Get rid of ALL references to NSP and SAP DBTech in the registry, search the entire registry and delete anything related. The key here is to get everything in the registry.
Re-boot and retry the installation.

You should remove the 2 SAP services(SAPOSCol and SAPServiceNSP). To do so open Control Panel -> Administrative Tool -> Service. Make sure both services are set to disabled, and then restart your XP.
