Hi,

Unfortunately our Application server crashed, no longer accessible.

we have HANA DB backups(Tenant DB) which are stored on seperate storage which is only available.

Could you please let us know whether we can build Application server S/4 HANA 1610 and retrieve the content of backup to bring back old system with data.

Please help me.

Thanks & regards,

Abdul

Hi Muqeet & Ning,

Thank you for the quick response.

Plan 1:

We are trying to do fresh installation with latest SWPM SP19 and then restore backup file.

Process1: SAP S/4 HANA 1610>

But we are facing below issue.

we tried to follow Note: 2003605,2300575 i.e. using different user, still issue continues.

>saplikey: failed to read table SVERS after connecting to the database

> Error "failed to read table SVERS after connecting to the database" during the homogeneous system copy process

>also license key's validation is unlimited.

Plan 2: as per Ning Tong

we have successfully installed ASCS instance but when installing Primary Application server instance, it is taking schema name as SAPABAP1 instead SAP<SID>. however we click next, it throws error that no schema available.

Please help and let us know if any alternate ways where we install fresh and restore or to get directly backup restore along with installation.

Thanks & regards,

Abdul

You can refer to system copy guide of your target OS and release -> chapter 6.1 Copying the Primary Application Server Instance Only.
