Can I use both a view and a function module for building a generic extractor??

I have a generic extractor on a view. And there is a function module relating to the extract structure of the view.

Is this possible.

Hi,

Ideally speaking when you create a generic datasource, it gives you 3 options, view, Function module, Infoset query.

When you click on "Extraction from View" , then it enables you to enter only fields for view/table , the section (extraction from DBview) and extract structure.

When you click on "Extraction by Function module" it enables you to enter only "Extraction by function module" and extract structure.

You can retrieve the same data from two different generic datasources assigned to single infosource.

But you cant have both of them in one generic datasource.
