whats a transactional remote function call...what is the role that it does in data extraction?

    Hi,

    A RFC is the background connection used for connecting 2 systems. Its used while talking to 2 systems. In data extraction the information trading between 2 systems is in the form if IDOcs which use the RFC.

    You can think of the RFC as a bridge that connects 2 locations.
