this is how my report looks like at present:

and this is how i want it to be:

marksheetreportword.png

As is evident, rows are transposed into columns. And Subject code is written only once.

Also marks are totalled.

Hi Hangkum,

1. Insert a Crosstab.

2. Use the Subject field as the 'Row' of the Crosstab.

3. Use the Second and the Third column from your screenshot as the two Columns in your Crosstab.

4. Use the Marks Obtained field as the Summarize Field.

thanks for the reply.

My problem is not yet solved.

This is the output I am getting . k i don't need the subject name . That's why i left it out and I am using only the subject code (eg: cse-408, cse-504) .

Now these are the problems:

I want to generate one crosstab for each student. Right now, the cross tab is for the two students combined. Therefore the marks shown are actually the summation of the marks of two students. I have two students in my datatable right now(see red circle , top left corner). There must be two crosstabs , one for each student.

And how can the subject_code must be center aligned( see blue arrow)? . I could not find any property for center alignment.

Please refer my first post for the format that i need. thanks
